Biological description
|
Potent, selective and competitive GAT-1 GABA uptake inhibitor. Selective for GAT-1 over GAT-2, GAT-3 and BGT-1 (IC50 values are 0.13, 550, 944 and 7210 µM respectively). Inhibits GABA uptake (Ki = 7 µM) and transmitter-gated currents (Ki = 0.03 µM). Shows anticonvulsant actions. Blood-brain barrier permeable. |
